  • 4th Fridays - Dragon Theatre
    February - May

    A series of quality Jazz and Blues gigs organised by the Barmouth Music Workshop for the 4th Friday of every month, hopefully all year. Previous nights have included the Huw Warren Trio and Paul Cowley.

  • Friendly Fairbourne Engines
    April 4th-5th & July 26th-27th

    The steam engines will be wearing their friendly faces and there will be children’s activities. Lord Bart the Stout Director will be in command and all the child passengers receive a ‘goodie bag’.

  • Life boatFairbourne Railway ‘Little to Large’ - Steam Engines in Action!
    May 30th-31st

    All available locomotives will be in steam, visiting steam models, miniature traction engine rides and a possible visit from a full size steam roller.

June

  • Barmouth to Fort William Three Peaks Yacht Race
    Saturday 19th June

    Yachts leave the harbour at 3.00pm. The race proceeds to Caernarfon where two crew members race to the summit of Snowdon and return, then on to Whitehaven for the ascent of Scafell Pike and finally to Fort William and Ben Nevis. Race start in Barmouth is preceded by a procession of the yachts from the harbour to the start line off shore, with many events on the quayside to entertain the onlookers.

  • The Barmouth Kite Festival

    Colourful festival of kite-flying making great viewing for spectators.

  • Country Music & Linedancer Festival
    Saturday & Sunday July 3rd & 4th

    Two days of Country and Western music and dancing in Talbot Square in the centre of the town. This popular event attracts ever increasing support and has now been extended to a full weekend, with associated evening events.

  • Dyffryn & Tal-y-Bont Fun Day
    Sunday 25th July

    Held at the Coed y Bachau fields, this very popular event features live music throughout the day, along with a licenced bar and many rides & stalls to entertain the whole family.

  • R.N.L.I. Open Day
    Sunday 16th August

    Fundraising event - the Lifeboat Station opens to the public, giving an opportunity to learn more about the R.N.L.I. Fascinating for children, with added fun, games and facepainting, all in a good cause.
