Saturday 28th June
Yachts leave the harbour at 3.00pm. The race, sponsored by PowerBar, proceeds to Caernarfon where two crew members race to the summit of Snowdon and return, then on to Whitehaven for the ascent of Scafell Pike and finally to Fort William and Ben Nevis. Race start in Barmouth is preceded by a procession of the yachts from the harbour to the start line off shore, with many events on the quayside to entertain the onlookers.

- Country & Western Music Festival
Saturday & Sunday July 5th & 6th
Two days of colourful Country and Western music and dancing in Talbot Square in the centre of the town. This popular event attracts ever increasing support and has now been extended to a full weekend, with associated evening events. -
Barmouth Kite Festival
Saturday and Sunday 12th & 13th July
Kite enthusiasts from far and wide gather for this popular event - making for a very colourful weekend focused on a dedicated site on the beach, in front of the RNLI Lifeboat Station. Kites of all types, size and shape take to the skies above Barmouth.

Arts Festival
6th - 13th September
For more than 30 years, this festival has grown to become an established part of the cultural life of Barmouth. Taking place mainly in the Dragon Theatre, the week’s programme is a mix of classical and popular entertainment and includes both professional and local artists performing in music concerts and drama productions, plus art & craft exhibitions. - Barnardos 20 mile Sponsored Walk
Saturday 4th October
This very successful fund raising event is now in its 15th year and has
raised almost £100,000 for the children’s charity – Barnardos. Another,
very worthwhile, opportunity to enjoy walking in Southern Snowdonia. The
route this year will be a ‘circuit’ of the Mawddach estuary. Further information

- Barmouth Motocross Weekend
1st and 2nd November
An exciting weekend of thrills and spills with excellent viewing for spectators from the promenade. Motor cycles and quad bikes race on a specially prepared circuit on Barmouth’s extensive sands (opposite the Lifeboat Station).
