Fishing
Waters around Barmouth and the Mawddach valley provide splendid sport for sea, fly and coarse fishing. The inland lakes are stocked with Rudd, Roach and Perch, whilst the estuaries of the Mawddach and Dovey are famed for Salmon and Sea Trout. Licences are required for all inland waters. Sea fishing off Barmouth offers sport with Mackerel, Dogfish, Skate etc.
Fishing trips depart from Barmouth harbour, tides and weather permitting. Local boats cater for parties and details can be obtained from Barmouth Tourist Information Centre. The dry land fisherman can try his/her expertise from the beach or within the harbour limits.
