Oriel Tŷ Meirion
Oriel Ty Meirion is a little art gallery in Dyffryn Ardudwy that offers a programme of curated exhibitions throughout the year by a mix of established and emerging artists that are local and beyond.
Hello, I'm Mima. I have created an inspirational 'little' arts venue to engage, enlighten and inspire a visiting audience and the local community, whilst supporting artists to develop and promote their careers through curating a programme of exhibitions that showcase in the gallery throughout the year.
I'm also a Visual Arts Practitioner myself, working mainly with Photography and hold a 1st class BA (hons) and Masters. I also trained a Sotheby’s Institute of Art in London as a Curator before opening the gallery. Every few weeks I curate a new exhibition with a selection of solo and mixed show for a range of established and emerging artists on a variety of themes that have cultural and environmental relevance to the area.
In November I will be opening a new exhibition based on the ‘Garden Project/Prosiect yr Ardd’. There will be a selection of arts and crafts for sale based on the garden theme for all budgets by artists living within 60 miles of the venue. This exhibition also goes further and will have a community section too that will be uplifting and inspire. If you can’t visit, you can tune into the exhibition online. The exhibition opens on 12 November and continues through to Christmas Eve.
I look forward to meeting you either in the gallery or online.
Love Mima x
