Barmouth Jubilee Weekend

Come and celebrate the Jubilee and all things Barmouth with a series of events over the extended Bank Holiday Weekend. With live music, messing about on the water and a whole range of activities for young and old, Barmouth is the place to be for Jubilee weekend.

Half Term Week:

  • Tuesday 31st May. Dragon Theatre: Lantern Making Workshop. Free for local children, but tickets must be booked. Click here for tickets.

  • Around Town: Shop Window Competition

Thursday:

  • St John's Church: 10am - 12:30pm, 1:30pm - 4pm. Have a Go on the church organ with three keyboards, pedal board, and guess the number of pipes in the loft.

  • Dragon Theatre: 6pm 50's Film evening. Cinema as it used to be! Starting with a short film of arriving in Barmouth by train in the 1940s, followed by a film of the era and ending with the National Anthems. Tickets available here.

Friday:  Harbour: Road closure 10am - midnight

  • Harbour: Daytime. Stalls around harbour, Wildside Encounters and local organisations.

  • Harbour: Have a go sailing, Beginners races.

  • Harbour: 10am - 1pm. Have a Go Paddleboarding,

  • St John's Church: 10am - 12:30pm, 1:30pm - 4pm. Have a Go on the church organ with three keyboards, pedal board, and guess the number of pipes in the loft.

  • Bowls Club: 1pm - 5pm. Have a Go bowls.

  • St John's Church: 2pm - 4pm. Have a Go ringing the church tower bells with a chance to ring the Ellacombe Apparatus which allows one person to ring all eight bells.

  • Talbot Square: noon - 7:30pm. DJ / Live Music & Bar.

  • Talbot Square: 7:30pm. Lantern parade to Harbour with Batala Bermo.

  • Harbour: Evening. Music from 8pm, Fireworks 10pm ish.

  • Harbour: Evening - Yacht Club Bar open.

Saturday: Harbour: Road closure 10am - 6pm

  • Harbour: Daytime. Stalls around harbour as Friday.

  • Harbour: Dinghy Race Weekend: Open Race Event. +/- 2hrs around high tide

  • Leisure Centre: 10am - noon. Have a Go Martial Arts.

  • Dragon Theatre: 10am - 4pm. Craft Fair. 

  • St John's Church: 10am - 12:30pm, 1:30pm - 4pm. Have a Go on the church organ with three keyboards, pedal board, and guess the number of pipes in the loft.

  • St David's Church: Afternoon: Cream Teas. 

  • Talbot Square: noon - 10pm. Cocktail (Prosecco) Bar / DJ / Live Music. 

  • Harbour: Evening - Yacht Club Bar open.

    • Harbour: Judging at noon: children's crabbing competition. 

    • Talbot Square: 1pm - 2pm: Judging Children's fancy dress competition. 

    • Beach: Judging at 3pm: Sandcastle competition, register at RNLI.
