Barmouth Jubilee Weekend - Competitions!

Over the Jubilee Festival Celebrations there are competitions - with PRIZES!!

All sponsored by Barmouth Town Council and local businesses.

Window Dressing - All week

Open to all Barmouth Businesses.

Please make sure your display is in place by Thursday 2nd June. Judging will take place over the weekend and the winner to be announced at Talbot Square on Saturday at 1pm.

Pick up your entry form at Luvit! and explore town to find all the clues and answers.

Crabbing Competition - Saturday 4th June

Please take care by the water’s edge

How many crabs can you catch?!

Bring your own crab lines, bucket & bait (or buy from one of our local shops) and try your luck with the best bait that you can find

Judging will take place at noon by the Mayor of Barmouth, Lobster Pot cafe and representatives from our local fisherman fleet


Prizes: Lobster Pot Voucher, Isis Pizzeria Voucher, Knickerbockers Voucher.

Family Fancy Dress Competition - Saturday 4th June

Get your gladrags on and show us your best costumes!  Families, couples, children and even pets(!) are all welcome to enter




Meet in Talbot Square, Station Road at 12:30pm for a quick costume parade and photographs

Judging will take place at 1pm by the Mayor of Barmouth and The Royal Hotel

Prizes: Freestyle Leisure Voucher, Pieces for Places Voucher, Fudgeridoo Voucher.

Sandcastle Competition - Saturday 4th June

Show us your best sandcastle sculptures. Big, small, detailed, artistic… we’d love to see your skills


Collect an entry flag from the RNLI shop (next to the Lifeboat Station) from 11am and create your amazing castles on the beach between the LIfeboat slip and Barmouth Donkeys

Judging will take place at 3pm by the Mayor of Barmouth, Barmouth RNLI and a special guest from Barmouth Donkeys


Prizes: 12 month sponsorship of a Barmouth Donkey, Pavillion Cafe Voucher, Flossies Voucher.
